In Fotos del Espacio, Santiago Cumplido del Castillo creates a haunting visual language that recalls the psychological intensity of Hieronymus Bosch. Through distorted mirrors, inert objects, fragmented bodies, and obscured faces, the work enters a space where beauty and discomfort exist side by side.
These mirrors do not merely reflect. They consume. They swallow the body, fracture perception, and leave behind a silence that speaks to erasure, ignorance, and the quiet normalization of dehumanization.
Cumplido del Castillo transforms everyday objects into unsettling witnesses. Faces dissolve. Limbs disappear. What remains is a contemporary landscape of distortion, identity is no longer stable and humanity feels both present and disappearing.
The result is visually arresting and emotionally charged: a body of work that asks us to confront what is lost when we stop seeing one another fully.
