Chef Royale's take on soul food for Juneteenth is a creative and meaningful celebration of African American culture and history.
Royale fell in love with cooking at age five and started his apprenticeship at 18. Influenced by his mother, Anthony Bourdain, and mentors Darrell Belcher, Emeril Lagasse, and Alton Brown.
Growing up in the South Bronx as a young child, he had the opportunity to go to prep boarding school due to athletics/academics and continued to excel from there. He went the unconventional route of culinary school.
Garnered opportunities that could only be imagined through being the person he is and staying true to the food and techniques he had learned through the different experiences.
Bubbling with talent and now blossoming into the rising star Chef you see before you, Royale states how "family support has been immense in my life, and they continue to push me to be the best I can be in this culinary world...a community raises me to be here striving."
Join us on Wednesday, June 19th from 7-9pm for a 4-Course Tasting Menu.
